Agribusiness Leader | Southeast Asia Growth Architect | Farmer-Centric Strategist
We are proud to feature Mr. Gabor Fluit, a globally recognized leader in the agribusiness sector, whose journey reflects a rare combination of strategic vision, operational depth, and long-term commitment to Southeast Asia—particularly Vietnam.
Since joining De Heus in 2008, Gabor has spent over 16 years building and scaling operations across Asia, with Vietnam as a central pillar. From the early days of market entry, he played a key role in laying the foundation for sustainable growth by focusing on a clear principle: empowering farmers and aquaculture producers with the right tools, knowledge, and access to quality resources.
His leadership is defined by bold decision-making and execution at scale. From expanding into aquaculture, establishing one of the first dedicated R&D centers in the Mekong Delta, to leading major cross-border growth initiatives across Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, and India—Gabor has consistently demonstrated the ability to turn long-term vision into tangible results.
One of the most defining moments in his career was leading the strategic acquisition and integration of a large-scale feed business in Vietnam, a move that significantly strengthened market presence and improved supply chain efficiency—ultimately bringing the company closer to farmers and helping them optimize costs and increase productivity.
Beyond business performance, Gabor is known for his people-first leadership approach, building a strong organizational culture centered on quality, trust, and continuous improvement. Under his leadership, the organization has been recognized among top workplaces in Vietnam, reflecting his commitment not only to growth, but to long-term impact on employees, partners, and the broader agricultural community.
We are honored to spotlight Gabor Fluit on our platform—a leader who combines global perspective with deep local understanding, and whose work continues to shape the future of sustainable agriculture in Asia.
