We are proud to feature Mr. Bart Verheyen, a highly experienced executive with a long-standing presence in Asia and a strong track record in retail, sourcing, and market development across dynamic emerging markets.

Originally from Antwerp, Belgium, Bart holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) and a postgraduate degree in International Politics from the University of Antwerp. His international career began in China in 2003 before he relocated to Vietnam in 2007, where he has since played a key role in shaping modern retail and supply chain operations.

During his time with METRO Cash & Carry, Bart served as Procurement Director (Food & Own Brands) and Vice President of METRO Group, contributing to the development of large-scale sourcing strategies and retail operations in Vietnam. Since 2012, he has been with MEDiCARE Vietnam, where he currently serves as Commercial Director and Board Member, driving business growth and strengthening the company’s market position in the healthcare and personal care retail sector.

Beyond his corporate role, Bart is widely recognized for his leadership within the European business community in Vietnam. He served as Chairman of BeLuxCham Vietnam from 2019 to early 2025, playing a key role in fostering connections between Belgian, Luxembourg, and Vietnamese businesses. He currently continues this contribution as a Board Member of EuroCham Vietnam, representing BeLuxCham and supporting broader European business interests.

With nearly two decades of experience in Vietnam, Bart combines legal insight, commercial expertise, and deep local understanding, making him a trusted voice in both business operations and cross-border collaboration.
